The Federation organises a number of competitions in both the Autumn and Spring.<\/p>\n

The Autumn Competitions are<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Traditional Philately (Arthur Saxton Trophy)<\/li>\n
  2. Thematic Competition<\/li>\n
  3. Aerophilately<\/li>\n
  4. Postal History (George Thorpe Trophy)<\/li>\n
  5. Postal Stationery<\/li>\n
  6. Social Philately (Elizabeth Millar Trophy)<\/li>\n
  7. Revenue Class Competition<\/li>\n
  8. Cinderella Competition<\/li>\n
  9. The Morecambe Trophy (NB 32 sheets<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In addition, the Novice’s Trophy may be awarded for any entry, providing that the entrant has never taken part in a competition above Society level and that no part of the entry has ever been placed in any competition above Society level.<\/p>\n

    The Spring Competitions are<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. The Rose Bowl Inter-Society Competition (ONE <\/strong>9-page entry only allowed from each local society<\/strong> – normally the winning entry from the society’s own senior competition.)<\/li>\n
    2. Postcard Competition<\/li>\n
    3. Single Page Competition<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      [Note – The President\u2019s Inter-Society Trophy has been withdrawn to allow the Autumn Competition, for individual society member\u2019s entries, to be re-established. It may be reinstated in the future.]<\/p>\n

      Entries for\u00a0all<\/strong> competitions, unless otherwise stipulated above, should comprise 16 sheets<\/strong> and should be submitted in the form of PHOTOCOPIES<\/strong> to the Competition Secretary, Dave Rothery, 192 Blake Street, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, LA14 5RR (Tel 01229 827991) by the due date.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
