The object of the Morecambe Trophy is to assist exhibitors in developing a display for a first time entry into National (five-frame) Competitions. It is a 32 sheet, or two-frame entry for a first time competitor, which is intended to allow entrants to gauge whether they have sufficient material in both quality and extent to proceed to national level.

The first page should have a plan or an introduction to the whole display, with something philatelic on that page.

The entry can be in any of the disciplines and the marking therefore will be in accordance with the marking scheme already listed for the relevant discipline.

The General Rules shall apply.
