The George Thorpe Trophy

The Trophy shall be awarded for entries of a postal history nature (excluding those which might be better classified under aerophilatelic or thematic classes), which should consist of selected material ranging from pre-adhesive entires and letters up to stamped or stampless covers of the present day.

The General Rules shall apply.

The judges shall award marks for each entry within the following maxims:

Presentation	15
Condition	15
Rarity	10
Treatment	20
Importance	5
Philatelic and Related Knowledge, Personal Study and Research	35
Total	100

 

Note: ‘Rarity’ refers to the number existing and the difficulty in obtaining items and NOT to their monetary value.
